well, you have the let the fish like you first. don't scare it when you first get it. it will never like you. just let it settle for a few days, just feed it mostly. then start to play with it! Before you even get the fish though, you have to design it and have fun stuff in it and LOTS of hiding places. if you have a Betta fish feed it little pellets every other day. Betta fish are easy to take care of. I recommend them.
