this should be very simple, you go to "others" or something and choose your created officer. you also get to choose who's on your side

Well i havent actually played Dynasty warriors 6 on the ps3 or xbox 360. but i like DW6 Empires better. because you can edit your own character that you can put into battle called: edit officers. there is no free mode so that's on disadvantage to that game but it has a very elaborite empire mode that surpasses all the other empire modes in the previous games combined. so yes i would choose the empires one but that's just me. and i hoped that helped :)
