How do you pop the hood of a 1997 Ford Thunderbird see one latch on the left but it wont come up getting pissed?

After you pull the inside hood release , go around to the front of the Thunderbird

There is a 2nd lever under the front edge of the hood , at the center , push on the

right side of the lever as you are slightly pressing down on the hood so the catch

releases and then lift the hood until the supports hold it open
