How do you preheat a Kenmore elite microwave convection oven. It seems as soon as I Enter the convection temperature and the time it starts counting down as total time.?

I had the same problem with my Kenmore Elite 721.86012010. I found the the instructions omitted a step. The correct way is after you've selected your temperature you need to press start twice. The preheat message then appears.
