cut the cauliflower in pieces ( be careful not to cut into the white flower) just take the green bottom off first, then you separate the white pieces (not too small) put in pan with the water covering the veggie bring to boil with a little lemon juice (1tsp) and a dash of salt , cook for about 10 min or tender to the touch when pricked with a fork.
If you want you can make a cheese sauce to cover or melted butter. YUM!!
Enjoy cauliflower raw or cook it just until tender. Microwaving is easy and preserves the most nutrients. Put cauliflower in a microwave-safe dish. Cover tightly and microwave 5 to 7 minutes. Steaming preserves flavor, texture, and nutrition. Bring 1 to 2 inches of water to a boil in a pot. Arrange florets evenly in a steamer basket, making sure the water does not seep into the bottom of the basket. Cover and steam for about 5 minutes. You can also stir-fry cauliflower by cutting the head into bite-sized florets. Heat a small amount of oil or broth in a large skillet or wok, add florets and stir-fry over medium-high heat until just crisp-tender, about 3 to 5 minutes.
You can also do a nice oven baked cauliflower au gratin which you basically cut up cauliflower, place into greased baking dish, add 1-2 cups of white sauce, then top with grated parmesan cheese or nutritional yeast and bake for 30 minutes in the oven at 350 degrees.
