I use 1 egg, 1 tablespoon water, 3 tablespoons shampoo and 1 packet lemon crystals and mix them in a bowl. Lemon gets rid of grease while the egg moisturizes your hair. I bought lemon crystals for lemonade until I found this recipe somewhere on the web that uses lemon juice.. I have short, grey, lifeless hair since I hit my 50's but this works just fine.
