Hair never decomposes so you can preserve it any number of ways. In the early 1900's people often wore locks of people's hair in lockets and jewelry, so you could do something like that. You could also put it in a memory book with pictures of your grandmother and other things that remind you of her or make a shadow box with things that were your grandmother's and have the hair as one of the items.
