If you believe that you can't go through life judging something if you have never tried it, fine. But that first time is when you are the most scared. But then after that you need to make a choice of whether you want to do it again or not. If you take cocaine for example. That first time you do it you don't do nearly enough to see the bad side of it. You'll wonder what all the fuss is about, cause you felt good, not trippy or out of control. Just good and you don't lose your train of thought like weed, acid and almost every other mind altering drug. And you are able to sleep that evening. It seems pretty harmless. So 3 months later you do it again. Then if you have some self control you leave it to not more than once a month. Do that for 5-6 years and you are can go and book your rehab spot, cause you wont convince yourself to stop. Its always just this last time. So what are the ways to prevent addiction? Try it that first time if you have to (preferably not, cause you its better not knowing how good it makes you feel) but then never again, cause if you do it that second time, that means that you've convinced yourself that its okay. Then you just hope and pray you dont end up in jail or rehab. Hope this helps, sorry bout the essay, but that is why you should not even be experimenting. Not taking drugs is the only way to prevent getting addicted. THERE ARE NO OTHER WAYS. If you start justifying why you can do it once every 6 months or so, you need some help, cause with every hit you take you are playing with your life. That is why they are harmful.
