∙ 15y agoJust had this conversation with the surgeon, who said "if I found a treatment for ileus, I'd be a wealthy man." In short he said there is nothing to be done except wait for the intestine to start moving again on its own. In the meantime, Nothing by mouth (because it just makes the symptoms worse) and walking may help get things going again.
