How do you prevent rapid Population?

Control over a growing population may occur naturally via personal decision of citizens or may be implemented by the government.

Natural occurrence:

  • With an increase in population, resources in the particular country may become scarce. Financial issues may occur and families may not want to procreate as it will create further financial burden.
  • In a growing population, jobs become scarce as well as product availability and citizens may decide to migrate to Another Country for a better life
  • Often, individuals facing poverty become deceased due to the country's inability to maintain food security for all its citizens

Government implementation:

  • The government may place many more restrictions on people wishing to migrate to the country or can sometimes make it completely impossible
  • The government may advertise and encourage the use of contraception to avoid pregnancies
  • The government can create rules and policies that will ultimately limit the growth of the overall population. For example: China's One-Child Policy introduced in 1978
