Also, the answer suggested above about programming the volume for the remote, by just following the Comcast remote instructions for "unlocking" the volume was exactly right. Also, fyi, none of this programming of the Comcast remote messed up TV/DVD operation by the original remote I have for the TV/DVD. How do you put your tv remote codes into your dvr remote control so you can just use one remote?
If you have direct tv, you can just go to the menu and look for the code for the specific TV. And if you find the code, you have to know how to program that certain remote control. And if not just go to a Electronics store and buy a ten dollar remote and get the codes off of the instructions. They should definitely have the codes.
