I have 2003 with two remotes and replaced batteries but will not work . How do you program them ?
Only the dealer can do this, with a scan tool.
hold lock and unlock for about ten seconds
you will have to get the dealership to do it for you.
Take it to a Chrysler dealer.
I had the same problem. Google "keyless entry remote 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee".
It requires the use of a scan tool.
the dealer normally does this service for no charge
See "Keyless Entry System" on page 10 of chapter 1 "Doors and Locks" in your "OWNER'S MANUAL".....
Dealer programed, can not be done without scan tool

Yes it is.
As much as you don't want to hear this, the only way to program a key less entry remote for a 2004 tibby is to take both key fobs and the car to the dealer. Don't shoot the messenger.
This is not a new remote it was once programmed for the car but it sat without battery in it for a long time before I bought it. I know the FOB works per the testing machine they have at Autozone but how to program it to work again is beyond me. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
On hinge in trunk, may also be in front of owner's manual (which tells about programming it).
A tuning program for the PCM is the correct answer, PCM For Less can do it for you quickly and at a reasonable price.
Only way to have the remote entry control programed is to have a dealer program the codes. You cannot do it yourself. Believe me I tried. I recently had my 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee programed by a dealer. Cost less than $20.00
