This might work. The instructions are for earlier models.
Open the trunk and pull the carpet away from the left (drivers) sidewall.
If you see an electronic box there, look for a wire with lone connector that doesn't
connect to anything. (If you don't see the box, you can quit here but see ALTERNATIVELY below)
Take the connector in hand and stick a piece of wire or a U bent paper clip inside
to short the two sides. You should hear the door locks cycle. While holding
the paper clip in place, push and hold the lock or unlock button on your
remote. The locks SHOULD cycle again. Voila, you're done ... theoretically.
When I did mine, after changing batteries, for example, I had varying luck
getting the locks to cycle the 2nd time, but the programming worked.
Alternatively, you can try Ebay. Yep, that's right. That's where I bought
the directions I'm giving you here. There are guys who sell this info for
about $10. Good luck!

How do I re program my key fob for renault laguna estate 1997?
I'm pretty sure the dealership has to program the fobs. I programmed my key using the instructions in the owner's manual. They're really simple if you follow them step-by-step, but I'm not sure if the instructions for the fob are in there.
To add a new key fob, take the vehicle and the key fob to an authorized dealer. To re-program a key fob after replacing it's battery, open the key fob, then read and follow the instructions inside.
