How do u program a keyless remote for a 2000 GMC Yukon
Go to best buy and ask the geek squad!
how to get rear brake pads off 2003 Yukon denail
If it's the same as the 2003 yukon, you just press the "locked" and "unlocked" at the same time for about 5-6 secs
I called a dealership about replacing my remotes. I was told I could get the replacement from them for what I thought was a heafty fee. The replacement price for my 2001 Yukon XL was about $75 each.
no you cant unless installed
This is going to be a quick guide to save you from paying a programming fee for your remote keyless entry for All Yukon and Envoy, Tahoe and Trailblazer models.. This guide will not work for any other models, but will for most all Yukon, Tahoes, and Envoy, Trailblazers including XL and Denali models. If you go to a dealership, you will pay around $50 for programming! This will work on new remotes you just purchased or on old remotes that you may have had batteries replaced that lost program. It must be followed exactly. First, hold down the unlock feature on your door and keep it held down. While holding down, turn ignition key over 2 times and turn off (dont start vehicle). The speed at which you do this is not important, but just turn to where radio will play and instrument panel lights up. After you have done this the unlock-lock will cycle on your doors automatically and the horn will sound. Now, you can let go of the unlock on door and Hold the Lock and Unlock function on the remote, Both at same time! Hold for 15 to 20 seconds until your doors cycle thru lock-unlock. They will do this automatically while you are holding both remote keys. Now, Turn the key over again and then off. This should set your remote to work. If this does not work, there may be a problem with the remote or you may have a remote not compatible with vehicle or even dead battery in remote. Hope this saves someone some time and money! There are some models that can be set up through the (DIC) Driver Information Center. You can go through the options in the DIC until you see where it says to (Learn New Remote) or something to that nature. When you push the check mark and hold it down it will say learning new remote. You then hold the unlock and lock buttons on your remote keyless entry. This may take a few seconds, but should take care of the programming process. This really works! I just used it to program my 2005 Tahoe LT keyless entry system!
as long as they are the same year p.u or SUV ,yes they program the same i.e--2000 Yukon and 2000 Tahoe are the same programs
REad the owners manual. But I believe you have to put garage opener in learn or program mode then depress and hold button on the Yukon this will allow it to program itself to you door remote
The new chipless key, or unmatched key will need to be reprogrammed into the cars computer.
you have to lock the doors with the remote first and then hold down the button at the top of the remote for about 5 seconds. it should look like an arrow in the shape of a circle. almost like an undo botton. remember this has to be done right after you look the doors. the parking lights will flash twice and then it will start.
Locted directly under the drivers side steering wheel is the DLC or Data Line Connector is a set of terminal contacts. Connect a wire(jumper wire) to connector 4 and 8. They are not numbered. Any wire will work, but I used a standard rigid wire to cross connect these 2 pins. it will automatically lock and unlock all doors. There will be approx 16 pins. numbered top left #1 thru bottom right #16. I ordered 2 new RKE Remote Keyless Entry devices and setup these up in 10 mins. you have a minute to do this to other RKE's. (Hold down the lock/unlock buttoms at the same time.) All door locks will automatically let you know if it worked.
