I'm making a flyer for a concert and what i mean by this is when you copy paste a logo from a sponsoring company or band logo you always get a white square background that comes with it. I have a picture background and only want the letters to show up. How do i eliminate this background? do I have to cut around each letter?
Yes, if you use another company's logo that is already registered, it may be considered copyright infringement. The company that owns the logo in question may dispute your use of their logo.

If you want to create your own logo you don't need to do this online. Just use your free image creation software on your computer or download the GIMP and you can easily design it yourself.

Any graphics editing program can be used to make a logo, such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Corel Graphics Suite or the GIMP. All of these are from reputable sources. Download the GIMP from the GIMP's official site (www.gimp.org). Illustrator and Photoshop can be purchased from www.adobe.com and Graphics Suite can be purchased from www.corel.com. Only download from trusted sources to ensure you won't catch a virus. If you're not sure, scan it with virus scanner.
