With Autorun, you have the ability to quickly start a file or watch a movie with a click of a button. Pendrive viruses exploit the rather useful effects of Autorun. Whenever you plug in a USB drive and it is infected with a pendrive virus, the virus will execute if you choose to view the contents of the USB. In order to protect yourself from these viruses, exit out of Autorun and the click the Start button. Now go to Computer and search for all the drives connected to your PC. Look for your USB drive (usually called the E:\ drive) and right click on it. Now click on Explore. This helps prevent the accidental execution of malicious code from a USB drive infected with a pendrive virus.
