two types of pills:

- the ones delivered with a medical prescription

You need to go to a PHARMACIE shop (identified with a green lighted cross in front on the shop) and give them the prescription. French citizens don't pay for their prescripted pills (or just a little in some cases).

- the ones delivered without a medical prescription

You need to go to a PHARMACIE shop (identified with a green lighted cross in front on the shop) and take what you need in the "take it yourself" zone of the PHARMACIE, then go to the cashier to pay. Only a few pills are available for "take it yourself". For example, "ADVIL" is delivered only with prescription. Most of time, only toothpaste, shampoo, ... and natural medicine are available without prescription.
