There are few styles of rabbit harness out there and they don't all go on the same way. The instructions on the package should tell you how to put your harness on your rabbit. If there are no instructions, consider contacting the company to ask for advice; the company may also have instructions on their website. Failing that, there are general instructions to be found online (see the link below for one of them).

Any time you put your rabbit in something (a harness, clothing, etc.), make sure your rabbit came move freely and naturally. If the rabbit's movement is constrained at all, remove the harness because this can lead to the rabbit panicking, and it can lead to injury or disability. Be careful when putting on the harness but make sure it is tight enough, otherwise the rabbit will remove it. However, don't put the harness on too tight: make sure you fit it so you can fit 2 fingers between the harness and your rabbit. Do not use the harness if your rabbit is stressed, unwell or pregnant.

Some rabbits love being outside on their lead, but you can't walk them as they go where they want. Remember - the rabbit is walking you, not you walking the rabbit. Do not pull on your rabbits lead as it may begin to roll on its back and get very stressed and try to get the harness off.

There are many risks involved in bringing your rabbit outside (see the related question below for details): if you're considering it, esearch the risks first, consider your situation carefully, and take precautions if you choose to let your rabbit outside. For example, watch the lead: if it is left in front of a bunny's mouth too long she will chew it. Also, be careful because dogs can get your rabbit extremely stressed and scared. Just a warning to keep a look out for dogs (also cats, raccoons, falcons; all manner of predator animals, really). And some rabbits don't enjoy walks, or they try to get away (in which case, leave the rabbit inside; or, shorten the lead a bit by rolling it in on your hand and keep him/her close to you till he/she is calm, and once they are calm it might be safe to let them on the longer lead again, but if they do this reaction again it is best to put him/her back into the hutch and try again on the next day.

well it should be pretty straight forward if your talking about actually how to put it on but getting it on could be a different story. you should be very calm and pet and reassure your guinea pig and make sure that when you buckle it it is not too tight.you may need to adjust the straps accordingly. it is good that it is a little loose as long as you know that they won't actually be able to get out of it. so just be calm and slowly get the straps under the belly or neck and buckle them up. you might have to get your guinea pig "used" to it so that they feel more comfortable in it. just by letting them wear it for a little at a time before you actually expect them to be comfortable in it.

you can never expect that your guinea pig will walk like a dog on the harness or even want to walk much at all!

It is a dangerous quest and takes a real dare devil to attempt it. mix laxatives with its food, when its having a dump quickly grab him and round house kick it into the wall, while its knocked out arrest its feet and stick the harness around it. I do warn you this is very dangerous and in some cases fatal.
