To burn a disc, insert a blank disc, and a disc symbol will appear on the desktop. Drag the desired file into the CD. Double click the CD, and a little gear sybol should be near the top left hand corner. Click that, then click 'burn' and it will burn, then you can eject the CD or DVD.
If you wish to create a DVD for your finished movie select iDVD from iMovie's Share menu. To just save the video file, create a New Burn Folder from the Finder's File menu, and then select the Export Movie option from iMovie's Share menu and save it to the burn folder. If you have several movies you can add them all to the burn folder. Insert your blank disc and click on the Burn button in the Burn folder's window.

An unfinished iMovie project can be saved to a disk to be worked on at a later date. A finished movie can be exported by selecting the Share menu and then Export Movie... Select a medium or large movie and export to disk to allow other people to enjoy your film on their computer or TV.
I don't know, but I found if you take a blank disk and burn the items you want to it, you can put the songs on your MP3 from a disk. :) Hope I helped.

No, you cannot put an iMovie on a CD, but you can a DVD if you have the app iDVD. However, if you want to put music on something, then you can do that through iTunes.
