Click on the "Export" menu option in the "File" menu. After the export is done you will be able to import the file into iMovie
From iMovie's Share menu select the YouTube option and use a Large or HD setting to export your movie.
This will vary depending on the version of iMovie you are using. The general editing menu (where you can edit titles, add video effects, etc.) should be a prominent tab labeled Editing as soon as you open up a blank iMovie screen.
The Share menu can be found on the menu bar at the top of the screen. It is the seventh item from the left - (Apple) iMovie, File, Edit, View, Text, Share, Window, Help
To determine the version of iMovie, or any other Mac software, select the software's name in the menu bar which is always at the left hand end after the Apple menu icon. From that menu select About iMovie (or whatever software you are using) and the info window will tell you about the software. Use Software Update... (from the Apple menu icon) to ensure that you have the latest versions of Apple's software that are available for your computer.
If it's opening a previous project, just hit the red X button at the corner of the window. It will pop up the selection window for you.
To share a movie created in iMovie: From the iMovie Share menu select iDVD. Your project will be passed to iDVD where you can select a theme for your menu etc. When you have set up your DVD select Burn DVD... from the file menu. Once the DVD is created it can be played anywhere that plays DVD - computers, TV/DVD Player etc. If it is only a short movie one of the other options from the iMovie Share menu will probably suffice. A small movie can be emailed, burnt to a disc and shared with other computers, or posted directly to a YouTube account. The iMovie software itself will not work on a Windows computer.
iMovie is used for personal slide shows, so I cannot tell you how to make an ipod commercial because it is all up to you. Plus, there are different versions of iMovie, such as iMovie 6 HD and iMovie '08, where each version is different from the next in a lot of ways.
From iMovie's Share menu you can select to send the movie to iDVD, export a movie directly to popular sites such as YouTube or FaceBook or to Export the movie in a variety of formats for sharing with others.
Imovie and Windows movie maker are the best P.S:I would choose IMOVIE
To move a video from iMovie to your desktop, first, open your project in iMovie and click on the "File" menu. Select "Share," then choose "File" to export your video. Adjust the settings as needed, then click "Next" to select your desktop as the destination. Finally, click "Save," and your video will be exported to your desktop.
