Using a screwdriver, flip down cover in the left side panel of the trunk. insert the socket wrench that comes with the cars tools kit,( or check the size and use a deep socket) through the access hole in the panel and place it on the hex-drive of the electric motor. To slide the roof closed or to raise the roof at the rear: turn clockwise. To slide the roof open or to lower the roof at the rear: Turn counterclockwise. Bottom line the motor on the drivers side in the trunk.

No, the Mark IV was the last 2 door Mark to have rear windows that rolled down, or back actually. The Mark III and Mark IV rear windolws went backwards into the roof rather than down into the the quarter panel.

Generally, an SRS airbag in a Mercedes can be disabled by disconnecting the connecting wires and inserting a resistor. This tells the system the airbag is still plugged in, even though it is technically not.
First open both doors, or lower the windows. Next locate the handles that lock the top to the windscreen. Push in the red button and pull the handles down. Pull the roof back from the winscreen and then raise the back of the roof. The next part refers to Australian Capri's and may be on a different side in America. Using the key unlock the lock located behind the left door and pull up the lever that releases the roof cover behind the rear seat. Raise the cover and fold the roof down. On my car you need to manully push back the hood bows to make them fold properly into the space- if the roof locks onto the rear seat open it again and push back on the roof bows before folding again- the roof should fold downm with no force. Close the roof cover and enjoy!!!
If it has a rear orifice it's in the rear unit under the roof panel.
