for my 2002 boxster (not a sport) there is an unmarked raising/lowering switch on the drivers side near the floor close to the clutch pedal. hope that helps.

If you dont have a spoiler, but have a filler panel between the rear speakers at the rear window glass, I suspect someone has removed the spoiler or replaced the original trunk lid with one without a spoiler.
