5W-30 ( according to the 1998 Ford Contour Owner Guide )
Simply put: no.Very different.
how do you put a Plymouth neon back in time 2.0L single overhead cam
The 1998 Ford Contour owners manual shows for the 2.0 L engine : WITH FILTER CHANGE - 4.25 liters ( 4.5 quarts )
That engine doesn't use a timing belt.
According to the 1998 Ford Contour Owner Guide : Both the 2.0 liter four cylinder engine and the 2.5 liter V6 engine take ( 5W-30 )
When you have the belt put back on correctly it will be back in time.
You can view the 1998 Ford Contour Owner Guide online at : www . motorcraft service . com ( no spaces ) Click on Owner Guides ( page 122 in the Owner Guide shows where to put the factory jack )
find it then remove it from its socket and then put anew one in its place.
