1 person goes in the game you want to play, the other person turns on the DS and goes into where it says Download Play, then the 1st person does the same, let the DS's load until it says the 2nd persons name in one of the slots of the 1st persons DS and the opposite for the 2nd persons DS then click next and start playing and having fun
For player 2 to play, just press A on player 2's remote and start playing. But player 2 can't move Mario or Luigi around or defeat enemies. Player 2 can only shoot star bits or freeze enemies. Hope I helped!
you can actually play multiplayer there are 2 multiplayer options the first one is in the mini games thing and the other one is where you have to get the most stars in 5 levels but you need 2 ds's
No matter which SSB game it is, you need to put in a second controller (or second Wii remote in SSBB) on the character select screen. Then you can start fighting with 2 people
