The first thing I would do is check the weather stripping around the sunroof. Replace it if necessary. If that doesn't work, check the glass for cracks and have it replaced, if necessary.
If water gets in, then something is broken - you probably need to get the seal repaired. If you want to do it on the cheap and don't mind doing a little jerry-rigging, you could get some "weather stripping" (thick soft foam with adhesive backing, meant for putting around the frame of doors on houses), and use that to repair or replace the seal around the sunroof.
you can try putting silicon where it leaks i did this to my Truck with a sunroof i put silicon on the top but the con about this that i cant open the sunroof
First, find the motor for the sunroof. There will be a manual override on or around the motor that you can turn to close the stuck sunroof.
You could have a seal leaking around a door or if you have a sunroof the drain holes might be plugged. Most cases of water leaking into the floorboard would be a plugged ac drain in the evaporater case. If you notice on a hot summer day and your ac is on that if you leave it parked, you will see water on the ground. This is from water draining out of the case, but if the drain becomes plugged it will build up in the case and slosh around and sometimes come into the floorboard.
I asked a sunroof repair shop the same question in my area. I have a 97 Grand Cherokee limited with sunroof, and the weather stripping around it has deteriorated. Unfortunately, the repair shop said I would have to replace the entire glass for about $1000!!! If you find another answer, please let me know. Otherwise, I can live with it for now.
You have to find the source of the leak. Is the door leaking somewhere, probably at the bottom? The area around the sunroof is also prone to leaking. If there is a lot of water on the floor, you should take out the mats and rugs before they get moldy. This will also make it easier to find the leak. One technique it to have someone sit inside and observe while you spray water from a hose on the car, around the door, around the sunroof, etc. Open the hood check where the battery goes look under the brake servo is a water drain clean it when is raining it fills with water and them goes inside.
it is located just in front of the sunroof under the headliner. it is close to the switch. you will just need to pull the stip off the headliner around the sunroof opening. pull the headline down in the front and you will see the motor
AN adhesive plaster will soak blood up and stop it spreading around. Change them as often as possible.
put Vaseline around seal .temporary seal look inarouns the edge ot the body on car withint the sun roof area, you should locate litle drain holes which ferry the water away shin a staightened out one into the hole
rubber seal around the opening on the hood is loose and preventing the sunroof from moving down and sliding open.
Usually you'll have some leaking around the plug... get a flexible necked mirror and a flashlight and look around it for leaking cooolant.
