Go to system properties on windows
devmgmt.msc
Right click on the bottom left corner of the task bar and select "System". It will open a System windows (System Properties if it's in older version of Windows. I'm using Windows 8) If in Windows 7, you can right click my computer and select properties and the rest is as follows. On the very bottom of the windows you will see "Windows Activation" If your Windows is not activated, you will probably see a button there.

The computer name that comes up on the Network is the one that was configured in the system properties. You can reconfigure the Computer name by going to::: Windows XP :: My Computer >> Right Click >> My Properties >> System >> Computer Name. You can tell your computer's make and processing speed by checking out System Properties in Windows. On Windows 7 & Vista, just right click the Computer icon and select Properties.
Right-click on My Computer and open Properties. There will be a System Restore tab. Click box that says "Turn Off System Restore".
This depends on the Operating System in use. In Microsoft Windows, it can be done by changing the setting in the system properties dialogue box of My Computer.
You can find your properties of windows 7 through control panel
Windows XP: Right click "My Computer" and click properties. Windows Vista or Windows 7: Right click "Computer" and click properties. Even easier, press "Windows Key" and "Break" simultaneously on your keyboard and the same window will appear. This will display system information, CPU speed, memory size, etc.
Right-click on "My Computer" and select "Properties". You should see it at the bottom of the window it opened.
