There is no expiration for dried pasta, as it lasts for years without becoming harmful to eat. De Cecco suggests, however, that you consume their pasta before 18 months (or at a maximum 3 years) for best flavor. The stamp on the package tells you when it was manufactured. The first three digits record the day (counting from the first of the year), while the fourth tells you the year. For example: "0369 L10 14:34 F" means it was packed on the 36th day of 2009. The rest you can ignore--it tells you the time and place of manufacture.
