∙ 12y agoSince Girl Scout cookies are only produced at certain times of the year, there is no need to worry that they have been sitting on a shelf for a long time. The worst thing that can happen to a Girl Scout cookie is that it can go stale so it would taste bad but not be harmful.
Girl Scout cookies should be good for six months after purchase, and up to a year if kept unopened in a freezer.
