it is very simple.
rownumber:
the first row of seats behind the cocpti (in the fornt of the plane) is row one,the one behind that is row 2, and so on.
seatnumber:
starts numbering (in letters) from the left side if you are facing aft (to the planes tail) so the first seat on row 1 is seat 1A, 1B, 1C and so on.
Commercial airports have planes with seat numbers to assist boarding and the airspace connecting airports have planes in transit carrying passengers sitting in numbered seats
