A ball point pen has about a kilometre of ink in it, or it did when my mum was alive anyway...
A Felt Tip pen has a tip that draws the ink from the pen and thru the tip onto the paper. A ball point pen has a metal time that houses a ball. When you press down on the tip and move it, the ball rolls and draws the ink from the pen and rolls it over to the paper.

Really smooth pens include the uni-ball series and the pilot series. Both have low costs. I prefer the gel grip uni-ball signo but another really smooth pen is the pilot v-ball.

probably something called 'refill'.-A ball point pen will normally have a "refil". An ink Pen with nib will either have a cartridge which fits in side and passes ink to the nib or will have a rubber bulb which sucks up ink from a bottle and is fed to the nib by gravityYou will buy the pen's refill. But some pens will not have refills, so you can't buy it.
