Firstly, unscrew the bottom of the G2 pen. Take out the ink cartridge. Do not take out the spring. Place the new ink cartridge, or simply the refill, place it into the pen and screw the bottom back again. Make sure that the spring is still in place. Make sure that the covering of the writing part of the refill is removed.
For most fountain pens, either snap in another ink cartridge until you hear a pop or use an ink converter. Cartridges are less messy but are more expensive over time. Converters must be refilled more often and create more of a mess, but ink bottles usually cost less per ml. There are some more rare pens that use full size cartridges or have built-in converters. Even older pens may need to be filled with an eyedropper, but those are a rarity.
The most convenient way is to use an ink cartridge. Most pens use "mini" cartridges that are quite inexpensive and can be found at most office supply stores. Converters may have to be purchased online or at specialty stores.
If you have the Parker ink cartridges, you should be able to unscrew the back, take out the cartridge that is already there, and pop the new one into place.
Cos you pushed it too far into the pen :P
