My 84 D turbo has the lock vacuum pump in with the spare tire .
I didn't know 83's had a lock. Open the trunk, and look behind the coverings toward the back of the fuel door. You can unlock it from there. My 84 300sd didn't have this feature, but both of my 89's do.
A 1987 Mercedes-Benz 300D Turbo would lose acceleration and gas after engine work is done if the computer has not been re-tuned. Each change to the engine requires a number of adjustments to be made.
so that no one can get into ur trunk or gas tank
un lock the car using the remote, then push on the gas door and it will pop open
Yes, a Mercedes 300D has a fuel tank.
use the key. put it in the lock. turn. congrats. you opened the trunk. If your trunk lock doesn't work which is common, the release is at the left side of the driver's seat on the floor right next to the gas door release. My trunk lock is hopelessly dead so I can only use the inside release
it opens by the door key passenger side lock and unlock twice and then open the gas door stupid right
At the base of the driver's door locate the trunk & gas cap release lever, which can be locked for security. To disable the lock on the trunk & gas cap release lever; use a screwdriver to gently pry off the small square piece of plastic that sits atop the lock cylinder. On the base of the lock cylinder facing the driver's seat, there is a small metal latch. If you patiently feel around on the lock cylinder base you will locate it. Simply flip this small metal latch, and the lock to the release lever will be disengaged. Pull the release and voila, your trunk pops open!
The fuel tank lock is tied into the vacuum door lock system. When the doors are unlocked then so should the trunk and gas cap. The door lock can be released from inside the trunk.
The lock for the access door for the gas cap is part of the lock system for the doors. If the car doors are locked the fuel door is locked also. Unlock the doors and the fuel door is unlocked also.
