It's really pretty easy. Just follow the engine wiring harness to the ecu. Most are located on the firewall but some are accessed from inside under the dash. On Ford products it is in small compartment so you will be looking at the front of it where the wire bundle hooks up. You will also see either two or four small bolts holding the face to the vehicle. Once you remove the wire harness and those bolts it just slides out. Good luck.
