Assuming the fuse is the type that is pressed into it's contacts, and assuming the fuse is de-energized when the disconnect is open (off), I usually place a screw driver behind the fuse on one end or the other, pull it out until I can get hold of it, and pull it out completely. As a matter of standard practice you want to wear leather gloves and treat it like it is hot (energized) until it is removed. If it is big enough you can simplify this procedure by just grabbing the fuse with one hand and pull. It should be extremely tight so be careful not to throw the fuse or your hand into something else that is energized.
It is a fuse that is rated in one thousandths of an amp. An example, a 500 mA fuse can also be called a 1/2 amp fuse.

20 amp on a 12 volt system
No. If you use a larger fuse you are not protecting the device which has a rating of a lesser value.
Use a 20 amp fuse or breaker.
Use a small screwdriver to pry upwards . these fuses are very hard to remove sometimes.
You don't it is a 100 amp fuse.
I have a 2004 Mini Cooper S and the 100 amp fuses are located under the fuse box under the hood. You will need to disconnect the battery first, then remove the 2 strews lolding down the fuse box. Then remove the wire bundle that leads to the front end of the fuse box. Flip the whole fuse box over and the 100 amp fuse is located onder the back end of the fuse box under the protective cap.
Depends on what that fuse protects. Highly unlikely you can drive this car with a 100 amp fuse missing but possible.
No, this is not monitored.
Disconnect the battery. Remove the fuse board cover. Remove 3 bolts (10mm) retaining the fuse board. Lift the fuse board - underneath, either side of the 120 Amp fuse, remove the bolt (13mm) which is passed through the 120 Amp fuse legs.
AnswerThe 100 amp fuse is bolted in. You can not simple pull it out with a fuse puller or a pair of pliers. You have to remove the fuse box in the cars engine compartment. Then you need to remove the back pannel and gain access to the back of the fuse. Make sure you disconnect the battery first.Once you access the back of the fuse, simple unbolt the fuse you want to remove. Then you can pull it out and replace it with another.Pull fuses out bottom of fuse box . Then unbolt fuse to replace!! Not that easy for me!!!
100 AMP Fuse ReplacementNot sure , but if your talking about the 100 amp fuse in the fuse box under the hood,,here goes.... Assuming you already have the fuse box cover off,,,,remove the battery to get it out of the way,,,remove the two bolts holding the fuse box ,,,the bottom of the fuse box comes off by depressing on each side near the bottom,, locate the large black and white wires that go into the fuse,,you'll need a screw driver to un-lock the fuse and fuse holder,,pulling slightly on the wires while depressing the latch ,,it should come out from the bottom,,,the two wires are bolted on to the fuse, remove the bolts and the fuse should slide out of the fuse holder,,,install new fuse,,bolt the wires back in place, insert the fuse and fuse holder back into the fuse box, replace the bottom of the fuse box, rebolt to the car,,re-install battery...New fuse cost about $10 from Toyota Dealer. If this is not what your asking for,,maybe it will help someone else.
