There is a trim piece around the radio that also goes around the other parts of the dash. This just pops loose. After that is loose, it should be obvious how to get the radio out. Have fun!
I need to know asap how to remove a trasmission oil pan on a 1991 jeep Cherokee Laredo? Thank you!
To remove the radio from a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, first disconnect the vehicle's battery to ensure safety. Use a flathead screwdriver to carefully pry off the trim panel surrounding the radio, then remove the screws securing the radio unit. Gently slide the radio out of the dashboard and disconnect the wiring harnesses at the back. Reconnect the battery once the radio is removed.
Turn on the radio and start pulling fuses. When the radio stops working, that is the fuse. Try the cigarette lighter fuse first.
A 1991 Jeep Cherokee computer is what fits a 1991 Jeep Cherokee.
Typically this is a failure of the headlight switch assembly. See the question about how to replace the headlight switch in a 1991 Cherokee for the answer of how to accomplish.
remove the exterior trim peace that surrounds the outer edges of the radio. Then there should be either two 10mm bolts or four phillip head screws holding the radio in place remove them and gently remove the radio from it slot and then unplug the wire harnesses and antenna in the back of the radio. repeat in reverse to reinstall.
Remove the ash tray, there are 4 screws that secure the center dash panel (the black plastic thingy). Remove them, pull the panel out from the bottom. 2 bolts hold the radio in - remove them, carefully pull the radio out, then unplug the wires from the back.
