how do you remove backrest on a 1994 suzuki intruder 1400

I had issues with the arm rest coming loose and wobbling and I ended up removing the driver side arm rest and the passenger side arm rest and swapping the two. To remove the arm rest, peel back the velcro at the base of the arm rest, peeling back the cover and revealing the bolt. Then, simply loosen the bolt using a Torx bit size T60 I believe, and that should remove the arm rest.

First fold down the back rest by pushing on the release button (you only need to push on one end). On either side of the back rest there are bolts (8mm or 9mm). Undo these and the back rest should putt out.
remove the right side engine cover
my 87 intruder fuses are located inside the left frame cover. i think there is one screw to remove and then the cover pops off.
I don't know if you got the answer yet or not but I just figured it out. Pop off the back rest, Unlock the tool pouch storage, pull out the tools and lift up the rubber spacer on the bottom and you'll find and Phillips head screw, unscrew that and the rear seat comes off, just like that and I believe you will see 2 more screws and the back of the main seat and i think you just unscrew those and you'll be in business. Good Luck.AnswerRemove the right side frame cover. Remove the bolt and washers from each side in the front of the seat. AnswerTwo section seat.
