why does blower motor not work on 1984 Monte Carlo. It is new and it is getting power?
The heater core on a 1984 Cutlass Supreme is located under the blower motor on the passenger side of the car, under the hood. First you need to remove the blower, and the hoses connecting the heater core. Replace the core, re-attach the hoses, and put the blower motor back on.
Below the blower motor
The blower is located on the upper left part of the firewall. There are usually 4-6 bolts and a plug with 2 wires. Remove all bolts and remove the electrical plug, and the blower will pull out. Put new blower in old blower's place..re-install all bolts and electrical plug. That should get you fixed up!!
* Disconnect the negative battery cable * Remove the glove compartment and right lower dash panel * The blower unit is located in the passanger compartment above the right front footwell * Disconnect the flexible tube and wiring connector from the blower unit then remove blower duct, vacuum hose and the blower unit retaining screws.Lower the unit from the dash * If the motor is being replaced transfer the fan to the new motor

It is called "Blower Motor Resistor Pack". It will be located near the blower motor. Sometimes you just have to follow the wiring from the blower motor back to the pack to find it. May be located behind the glove box, side kick panel, or behind the dash.
The high speed blower relay is located on the engine bulkhead bracket next to the blower motor. === ===
If by quit working you mean quit blowing, the things to troubleshoot are the blower motor, the blower motor resistor switch, or the blower motor speed selector switch. If by quit working you mean it only blows cold or warm air, the thermostat is probably stuck in the open position.
Blown fuse Loss of freon Does compressor run? Does blower motor work?
It is on the Right side of the Heater Core Covering.
Three things could have happened. A relay went bad, the power wire fried or the fuse blew. Start with the fuse, then the relay. If it's the wire you'll have to trace it back. Remove the blower motor and hook it straight to the battery. If it works then you have the others to work with. Good luck!
