All you need to do is pull the trigger keep it pulled then at the same time pull the bolt back hard and it should release
The bolt is removed from a Marlin model 81 by first opening the bolt completely, then while holding the trigger back all the way, continue to pull the bolt the rest of the way back. Sometimes it is necessary to hold the trigger back while re-inserting the bolt.
this is a bolt action rifle
Put the safety on.....and while pulling back on the trigger (make sure gun is unloaded first) the pull the bolt rearward and remove the bolt. Putting the bolt back in is just the reverse...slide the bolt back in while pulling the trigger back first...the bolt will slide right in. JR
Open bolt and pull to rearword position. Then pull trigger and hold in back position.Bolt will now slide out.Hold trigger back to reinstall
Move the safety forward to the 'fire' position, then open the bolt. As you are sliding the bolt to the open position, pulling the trigger will allow the bolt to be removed.
I didn't realize that the stock had to be removed from the rifle in order to pull the trigger and release the bolt. Ray
you pull bolt out put bullet in and push bolt back in
Bolt removal on this model is fairly straightforward and simple. First work the bolt to the rear as if to chamber a shell. Second pull trigger and continue to pull the bolt to the rear and it will slide out the back of the reciever. To reinstall bolt complete this sequence in reverse.
