gunpatscorp.comSears Model 300 firing pinIf the Model 300 is the lever-action .30-30 that Sears sold in the '50s it's a part-for-part copy of a Winchester '94. In fact, Winchester probably made it to be sold under the Sears name. If that's the case, a firing pin for a Winchester '94 can be made to fit it. POST '64, not pre-64The Ted Williams/Sears 100 is a post-64 Winchester 94, and requires a post-64 firing pin. We do have them available. sales@countrygunsmith.net
Nearly the last step in this tutorial is taking out the firing pin. http://www.castbullet.com/misc/tdown.htm Good luck
There was a recall related to the firing pins on the Model 100. The pin is subject to breakage and could stick in the forward position resulting in the gun slam-firing. Contact us for directions or futher information on repairing the rifle. sales@countrygunsmith.net
Any local gun shop should be able to assist you.
Take it to an authorized repair center or a qualified gun smith.
Take it to a gunsmith. Remove cylinder - remove firing pin pin located under rear site - use finishing nail/small center punch ,place against back of firing pin and tap lightly driving pin toward "removed" cylinder
Josh, check out e-gunparts on the web.
This is not a trivial thing. I would suggest that you go to http://www.krausebooks.com/category/firearms_knives and buy the Gun Digest book Assembly/Disassembly volume III on Rimfire Rifles. You will need a special spanner to remove the barrel nut. I too have this same question. The barrell of my Winchester Model 190 has begun to separate from the receiver. The firing pin does not strike the shell hard enough to fire the bullet. Has anyone discovered how to remove and replace the barell? http://www.swishercs.com/winchester/
