There are two ways to go: 1) White Vinegar. 2) Bleach or peroxide. I would recommend vinegar because it is natural and the vapor is not harmful to people. It is an age-old cleaning solution. Molds will not live in an acid- environment. Be sure to have fans/ventilation too. Finally, you may wish use kitty litter or another drying agent. If the mold is caused by seepage from outside, it will be necessary to take other steps to stop the water seepage

If you mean the odor of mold or mildew caused from water leaks, yes, diluted chlorine in fresh water will help. However, chlorine--bleach--does NOT kill mold spores. You can put the dilution in a spray bottle CLEARLY MARKED with what's in the bottle. Or, use a broom wet with the dilution across concrete basement floors.
