I'm trying to figure out the same thing. I believe you have to take off the frontwards engine mounting brackets, take all the bolts out of the plastic cover underneath the radiator, drain the radiator through the radiator drain or lower intake hose, the disconnect the power to the fans, disconnect the atf cooling line and the oil cooling line and any other coolant hoses going to or from the engine or cooling resivoir. take all of the radiator mounting brackets off, and hopefully slide the radiator out. you may have to take out a lot of nuts and bolts, so put them in a safe place organized.
just keep taking things off until the radiator is removable.
3.8 regals are horrible to do radiator replacements on, I've been researching all week how to take out a radiator and no one has made a video about it or anything.
it is in the middle of the radiator resevior
You can replace your 1998 Buick 3.8 liter engine with a Buick 3.1 liter engine. You will need to change the motor mounts and some of the wiring harness will need to be modified.
The coolant capacity of a 2000 Buick Century with a 3.1-liter engine is approximately 11.5 quarts (or about 2.9 gallons). This includes the capacity of the radiator and the engine block. It's important to check the owner's manual or consult with a mechanic for precise specifications and recommendations for your specific vehicle.
Drain the radiator. Remove the top radiator hose and water inlet. Remove the thermostat from under the inlet. Install the new thermostat, reinstall the inlet and hose, and fill the system with new freon.
3.8 liter
Where is the power steering fluid for a 1997 Buick Regal LS 3.8 liter engine?
Changing the thermostat on a 2002 Chevrolet 4.8 liter engine is simple to do. First, follow the upper radiator hose to the thermostat. Then drain the radiator hose. After the hose is drained, remove the clamps and bolts holding the thermostat housing in place. Then remove the old thermostat and replace with a new one.
its a 350hp vortec engine.
200 hp for 3.8 liter and 240 for 3.8 liter super charged
Counter Clockwise
4.5 quarts
On the 2.6 liter, 4 cylinder engine the thermostat housing cover is where the upper radiator hose attaches to the engine. On the 3.0 liter, V6 engine the cover is where the lower radiator hose attaches to the engine.
