What's a "spot mirror" and where do you want to remove it from?
Which mirror? Just guessing you mean the door mounted mirror. Remove the inner door panel. There will be two nuts holding the mirror on. Remove them and pull the mirror off. If you mean the windshield mounted mirror, there is a small Allen or torx screw holding it on. Loosen it, slide the mirror up and remove.
The small plastic cover in the corner of the window is removable. Mirror mounting fasteners and wiring connections can be removed to remove mirror.
Remove the clear lenses from the overhead lights near rearview mirror. Use a torx driver to remove two small screws holding bezel in place. Remove bezel. Now you can access the the two torx screws holding mirror.
Remove the door panel; small section under wing mirror, it should just clip off. Unclip the electrical connection. Remove 3 screws. Remove old mirror. Reverse process using new part
To replace the exterior mirror on a 1996 Beretta, find a small plate on the inside of your door. Remove the screws and install the new mirror.
Mirror fixIf you look on the lower side of mirror there is a small hole/opening and a small straight blade screw that lossens the mirror from the housing. Undo the screw, remove mirror glass assembly and you will see mirror glass brackets that open & release glass
in refference to the exterior tow mirrors. i would like to swap side to relocate the spot mirrors, so I need to remove the "mirror face".

hi thereprise the mirror glass out and remove the outer casing and also remove the backing, there are 2 small screws at the bottom of the mirror remove them and replace the lens, dont worrie about which way you connect the mirror glass electrics as it is a curcuit,good luck
For my 2008 Sprinter the mirror and swivel slide up leaving just the small bracket attached to the windshield.
on top of door panel behind the mirror. remove the plastic cover by prying it off. remove the mirror nuts, and then remove mirror. if it has mirror adjustment cables on it. just remove these cables, and put on with new mirror if needed.
Remove the inside door panel. Remove the wiring harness from the mirror. Remove the mirror retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new mirror.
