The first step is to unhook the battery.

The starter is located near the transmission on the drivers side of the 1992 Plymouth Voyager. The starter is responsible for turning the engine over.

The starter for your 1992 is located behind your passenger side wheel well. Remove tire and you will see a panel at the top of the wheel well remove it and the starter is behind that.
Remove the wiring harness from your 1992 Plymouth Grand Voyager alternator. Remove the alternator belt. Remove the alternator retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new alternator.
Remove the cables from the starter. Tape the end of the positive cable, so it will not spark. Remove the retaining bolts from the starter. Reverse the process to install the new starter.
Remove the positive cable from your 1992 Chevy Lumina battery. Remove the cables from the front of the starter. Remove the starter retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new starter.
Your problem is prob the starter, if you hear grinding it def is, Tho if starter is good could be ignition relay
Disconnect battery. Starter is under car, on engine, by radiator. Unbolt/remove the two wires that are bolted to starter. Unbolt the two bolts securing starter and your done.
Remove the two bolts holding the starter to the engine then you should be able to drop the starter down enough to take the wires off and remove the starter.
