1. Remove driveshaft.
2. Disconnect Starter.
3. Disconnect all electrical wires on tranny and TV cable linkage.
4. Disconnect exhaust crossover on driver side, Remove Lower bolts from tranny to engine.
5. Remove flywheel to Torque convertor bolts (4).
6. Remove tranny crossmember.
7. Place Jack under tranny, Remove upper bolts from tranny to engine.
8. Move tranny over to side and remove oil cooler lines.
9. Remove transmission.
I did one today in less than 2 hours. Of course that was with a lift, air tools, and a tranny jack! Good luck, if you dont know what you are doing this can take more than 2 days of work! later

Remove the Ford Ranger automatic transmission drain plug. The drain plug is in the bottom of the transmission. Allow the oil to drain out and replace the plug. Fill the transmission with new transmission fluid.
