Remove the steering wheel ford f-250
There is no light on the steering wheel.
If you look under the steering wheel you will see a grey cover, remove this and the connector is under there
in the steering collum behind the steering wheel
This requires special tools.To do work:Disconnect batteryGo for coffee, this is to allow the airbag deployment system to discharge.There are screws holding the steering wheel air bag to the wheel. Take them outWork carefully and disconnect the air bag wiring Do not break the connector.Remove the retaining nut on the steering shaft.Mark the wheel and shaft so it will be aligned correctly at reassembly.Use the special steering wheel puller to remove the wheelAssembly is reverse of disassemble.

The passenger compartment fuse panel is located below and to the left of the steering wheel , by the brake pedal . Remove the cover panel to access the fuses

Sorry...you can't tilt it! I think they added that feature in about 2008.
The buttons function off the "clockspring" inside the steering wheel, that is where they get their power. The clockspring wiring harness may have come loose. If you aren't familiar with these parts, don't try disassembling your steering wheel or you may end up activating the airbag, very dangerous.
