is this the 3.4l?
I recently replaced one on my sister's alero.
the fuel filter is right next to the gas tank, and is connected with a quick-connect fitting which was green in my case. I was very frustrated when i couldn't get it off. it took me a while to be able to spin it and see the back side of it. after realizing that it was some type of c-clip I was able to push both sides of it until it slid out. the best advice i can give you is to open the obvious tab and then push it perpendicular to the fuel line, away from the open side. it slides easily once you know which way to push it. then you pull apart the connector and filter to separate the two. the other side is a screw and not worth mentioning how to loosen. just use plenty of wd-40. also make sure you watch your eyes, about a cup of gasoline will drip out of the filter.
how do you replace head lights on my 1999 oldsmobile alero?
where is the cabin filter on a 200l alero
The fuel filter can be found in the rear of the vehicle on a 2004 Oldsmobile Alero. The filter is located directly under the trunk area.
Take the old one out and put the new one in. You will have to remove the rubber snorkel from filter to intake plenum in order to get at the filter.
Doesn't have one.
your alero wil start stalling and eventually stop..
the gas filter on the 2000 alero is just in front of gas tank. you have to jackup the car.
How do you replace the hazard switch
you need to remove air filter and some of the exhaust pipe before u can get at it.
VERY CAREFULLY !
There is a staple on the front of the gearshift just below the knob, remove it and lift the shift knob.
If its a cartridge style replacement filter(as opposed to a spin on), then simply unscrew the hex-head shaped holder with a crescent wrench...:)
