Under a plastic cover in front of the rear rear fold able seats
The air filter on a 2002 Renault Scenic is located on the driver's side of the engine compartment. It is under the huge, black box at the very front, above the driver's side headlight. The cover is held on by a clip at the front.
On a RHD Scenic it's above the drivers' right knee. Assume above left knee on LHD. Simply pull the cover off.

on top of door panel behind the mirror. remove the plastic cover by prying it off. remove the mirror nuts, and then remove mirror. if it has mirror adjustment cables on it. just remove these cables, and put on with new mirror if needed.
