Try wetting a tissue, rubbing it on the blue tackand then use your fingernail to scratch the remains off. Repeat these steps until surface is clear from blue tack.

I got a nail filer (instead of fingernail) and rubbed hard then grabbed a cloth and made it damp and scrubbed against the shoe until all the access blue tack was removed from shoe.
