If you accidentally put regular gasoline in your oil-gas weedeater, do not start the engine. First, remove the fuel tank cap and drain the contaminated fuel completely. After draining, you should flush the tank with the correct fuel mixture of gasoline and oil to ensure all residue is removed. Finally, refill the tank with the proper oil-gas mixture and check for any issues before starting the engine.
Some truckers use the oil from an oil change as added fuel in the tank. In this case it will Not ruin your tank
1) If fuel tank is full you will need to siphon fuel out 2) Remove any type of skid plate or cover from fuel tank. 3) Disconnect fuel fill tube, wiring harness, and fuel lines from fuel tank. 4) Support fuel tank and remove hold down bolts(or nuts) for fuel tank strap. 5) Lower fuel tank to ground. NOTE: You may need to remove driveline on some vehicles to have room to get tank out. 6) Use brass punch to unscrew fuel pump locking plate on top of fuel tank. 7)Remove and replace fuel pump from tank and reassemble everything the same way you took it apart.
Cut the brake line and remove it. drain the gas tank and then test the oil. if the oil is low....fill it and then put vegetable oil in the tank to clean it....remove the vegatale oil and put regular in there. Then put premium gas in the gas tank. You do not eed a brake line for it to run rough.Hope i helped!!!!
a 2 stroke engine is lubricated by the fuel. the fuel is either premixed with oil and poured into the gas tank or it has a separate oil tank to inject the oil into the gas. once past the carburetor the fuel mist flows around the inside of the engine before entering the combustion chamber.
It's located in the gas tank so you have to remove the tank to replace it. Before you do check that you don't have a blown fuse. Also check your oil. The fuel pump is electric and has a switch in it to prevent it from working if your oil pressure is too low. Protects your engine from running woith low oil pressure.
Easy to remove and replace gas tank. Best bet is to get a Haynes or Chilton manual for reference (about $14). If I recall correctly: 1) Disconnect battery 2) Jack up car 3) Siphon gas out of tank 4) Remove three rubber hoses on rear of tank. These are used for gas fill up; remove hose clamps and disconnect. 5) Remove three hoses from front of tank; these hoses go from the fuel pump to the engine. You'll need special fuel line wrenches for this. 6) Disconnect two connectors at the front of the tank. 7) Remove two bolts that hold the exhaust pipe heat shield. You'll want to use penetrating oil on these; they will be corroded. 8) Support tank with a floor jack. Remove the bolts which hold the tank in place. Pivot the tank on the exhaust, tilt and slide out. Installation is opposite of above. Easy to remove and replace gas tank. Best bet is to get a Haynes or Chilton manual for reference (about $14). It doesnt use mixed fuel. Gas in the gas tank and 15w40 in the oil tank. I would suggest draining the oil first and then going with a synthetic oil. Engine will hold up longer. Hope that helps.
start by draining gas tank then jack truck up don't forget to trig wheels, remove straps that hold gas tank to chassey, use penatration oil on bolts, disconnect filler hose and vent hose lower tank disconnect fuel lines and wiring, remove tank from under truck now you will have to remove sending unit from gas tank that is where you will find fuel pump unscrew old pump, install new pump. Replace everything same way you took apart.{p.s. becarfull not to damage locking ring that holds sending unit in place
Empty gas from tank. Jack the rear up high enough to allow room to get the tank out from under the car. Remove spare tire and soak all nuts holding tank straps with penetrating oil, Very carefully loosen strap nuts, remove straps and lower tank. As the tank is being lowered take caution, there are several fuel lines that must be disconnected at this point. One on the drivers side and two on the passengers side.
Someone is putting it there. There is no way for oil to get from the engine to your fuel tank by natural means. Literally, if you have oil in your fuel tank, someone is sabotaging your vehicle by putting the oil there.
