Not sure this is the approved manner but this is how I perform the change. First remove the glove compartment. This involves removing 4 screws from inside the glove compartment. Next remove the lower trim piece ( below the glove compartment), this involves removing the fuse cover and then removing 2 screws. This trim piece should then pull out with a little light pulling. Once this is out remove 3 screws holding the glove compartment in place. Remove the glove compartment. There is a metal trim piece that held the glove compartment in that you remove with a couple of screws. Then remove the filter cover (it snaps right off). Remove and replace the filters. Reverse the procedure to finish.
Remove the glove compartment cover and there is a fuse box located behind there
Open up the glove compartment, remove all the junk inside, locate and remove the relay cover in back of the compartment.
heater core is behind glove compartment dont need to remove all the dash just remove glove compartment . then there is a cover over heater core secured by a couple of small screws. remove cover then remove heater core,( couple more small screws
Actually there are three. 1)Under the plastic cover below the dashboard. 2)Inside the dash, next to the glove compartment. Remove the glove compartment for acess. 3)Under the hood on the firewall, under plastic cover.

The flasher module on a 1994 MK VIII is located to the left of the glove compartment. To access it, you must remove screws that hold the the glove compartment door hinge. After you remove the glove compartment, the flasher is mounted on a dash support beam to the left side of the compartment.
On a outlander 20003 you need "carefully" to remove the left plastic pin inside the glove compartment, then you can easily unhook the right pin which is attached to the compartment. Drop it all way down and remove the compartment.
